So one of the things in life that really gets under my skin is grocery shopping. I love food, i love cooking, I love picking out and trying new items. What I don't love is the people at the grocery store.
1. No matter what time of day or year, the state of the economy, or the weather, people need to eat and the grocery store will always be busy. Nine times out of ten when I go to the store, I get stuck behind some moron who must stop right in the doorway with ten people behind them and check if they have their list and coupons. THERE ARE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU TRYING TO GET INTO THE STORE!!! Check for that stuff in the car before you go inside.
2. People in the store seem to lose all sense of the world around them. I know this is pretty common everywhere but it's especially obvious at the grocery store. You can't turn your cart sideways and block aisles. You can't stop directly across from your friend with a cart and start chatting it up and expect people to be able to get by. If you need something that's in front of someone else say "Excuse me!" instead of sticking your arm right in their face.
3. If your kid is screaming, ignoring them is not going to make anyone else including your child happy. Tell them to stop, it's not that hard.
4. If you are going to write a check, fill it out while you are waiting. Or get a freakin' debit card!
5. If you don't know how to use the self scan, please don't. Please.
